More sustainable machining with long-life GreenPlus mill from low-CO2 production

The easy cutting GARANT GreenPlus solid carbide end mill ensures reliable roughing and finishing processes that deliver optimum cutting results with steel and stainless steel. Thanks to its sophisticated face geometry, it is also suitable for plunge milling. Optimised chip spaces reduce the forces generated by chip forming and allow rapid discharge of chips. A latest generation TiAIN high-performance coating provides additional support for chip evacuation and protects the tool against breakage and wear caused by high process temperatures. The optimised core diameter prevents vibrations and the tendency to break – even with significant wrapping. This increases process stability and ensures a smoother cutting action. Selectively prepared cutting edges result in even wear.

The ability for the tool to be reground and recoated up to three times extends its product life cycle, with a positive impact on economic efficiency and sustainability. For the same reasons, the packaging used is made exclusively of recycled plastic.

With the GARANT GreenPlus solid carbide end mill, the Hoffmann Group is extending its sustainable GARANT GreenPlus range. GreenPlus already includes multi-purpose and safety gloves, which are made from up to 78% recycled material, non-hazardous cleaning agents and ultrasonic cleaners, anaerobic solvent-free adhesives and a grinding oil.
