The Hoffmann Group is making clamping long boring bars extremely easy, reliable and repeatable. The new GARANT Master Eco VDI boring bar holder E2 has a longer clamping depth than conventional boring bar holders. The clamping depth can also be adjusted by means of a length adjustment screw and the boring bar is clamped using just a single contact piece. Even long boring bars are therefore seated securely in the holder and do not have to be shortened. The boring bar holder also impresses thanks to its cooling system which can be used to regulate the coolant supply (Efficient Cooling). Three different coolant outlets can be used. Longer boring bars are often shortened out of necessity so that they can be reliably clamped in a conventional DIN boring bar holder.

Thanks to the new GARANT Master Eco VDI boring bar holder E2 , this is no longer necessary because the VDI shank has been drilled through and the clamping range has therefore been expanded. The shank length can be extended as required by turning the length adjustment screw. Once the boring bar has been positioned in the holder, it has to be fixed in the contact piece using just a single screw. Minimum clamping depth and torque ranges are noted on the holder, meaning the user always has all relevant information to hand. The new GARANT Master Eco VDI boring bar holder E2 is equipped with a three-stage cooling system Efficient Cooling (Eco). The user can set one of three variants by turning the “Coolant-Switch”:
internal cooling through the boring bar, external cooling through the two ball-type injection nozzles of the boring bar holder or combined cooling which
reaches up to 70 bar at the cutting edge. The ‘GARANT Master’ is a typical member of the GARANT Master Eco VDI boring bar holder E2 product family – it therefore offers innovative technology for greater productivity and process capability during metal processing. The ‘GARANT Master’ product family was launched by the Hoffmann Group in 2015 with the aim of supporting high-performance machining with particularly powerful and reliable tools. The product family has been systematically expanded since then. It now offers state-of-the-art high-performance tools for almost any application.
